Statistics: Russia’s unemployment falls to 4.7% in May
MOSCOW, Jun 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s unemployment fell to 4.7% in May from 4.9% in April, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday, citing preliminary data.
The number of unemployed people registered with employment services amounted to 700,000, including 600,000 who received unemployment benefits.
The number of economically active people stood at 76.1 million, or 52% of the population.
